Phoenix Children’s Hospital and our amazing sponsors, AmeriPark and BillingTree, hosted the Festival of Trees from 21 through 28 November at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. All the proceeds from the event will go to the Hope Fund and Injury Prevention and mall patrons were able to donate directly to the fund and help with such necessary purchases as car seats, helmets, swim lessons, and childproofing supplies.

The event was an amazing success! Visitors were able to bid on one-of-a-kind designed Christmas trees and wreaths right in the Neiman Marcus/Dillard’s Court. Nine valley designers donated their time and talents to the event. You have to have seen the designs to believe them! Check out some of the pics here (taken by Pete Speyer) where you can see a Pokemon Go themed tree sure to delight the young and young at heart, an elegant midwinter’s night dream tree, and wreaths inspired by nature and superheroes! For those who weren’t able to bid on a tree or wreath, there were plenty of gorgeous ornaments to purchase as well.

The Festival of Trees kicked off with a festive VIP cocktail reception attended by 300 WINGS (When In Need Grandma’s Serve) and Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation guests. Guests were charmed by harpist Joyce Buekers and kept well fed and watered by Vincent’s, Carlson Creek Vineyards, and Coco21. Patient speaker, Tommy Robertson, and his family stole the show though when they shared his story about injury prevention. Attendees were also able to bid on some gorgeous retail wreaths provided by Scottsdale Fashion Square, Dillard’s, Tommy Bahama, Travis Mathew, Microsoft, Godiva, AmeriPark Valet, and Macy’s.

We would not have been able to host this magical event without our dedicated partners: Arizona Foothills Magazine, Ace Hardware, Miranda Delivery Services, Carlson Creek Vineyard, Scottsdale Fashion Square, Mack Media Relations, and Syndicate Marketing. Our sincere appreciation also goes out to the WINGS Women’s Board for all their support and dedication to the Festival of Trees and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
