Figuratively speaking, there are many roads to take in life—that’s why motorcycle enthusiasts have gathered for the past five years during Bob’s Biker Blast in collaboration with local dealerships, Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale (HDOS) and GO AZ Motorcycles. The event raises funds and awareness for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital patients who don’t always have an easy road ahead.
Bob’s Biker Blast is a vision started by entrepreneur and philanthropist Bob Parsons. “Bob’s Biker Blast is an off-the-charts celebration of music, motorcycles and our community,” said Bob Parsons. “It’s also about helping the good folks at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, which Renee and I are proud to support. Thanks to the generosity of the local biker community, and all those who make this an outstanding event, we are able to do a lot of good, for a lot of kids, in a single day.”
On Saturday, November 4, we encourage you to bring a friend or a passenger to the 6th Annual Bob’s Biker Blast, which will formally kick off with a self-guided “Rev and Ride” from Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Roughly 500 plus bikers will rev their motorcycle engines to the delight of the Hospital patients before riding to HDOS where Chipotle, Sodexo and Walmart will be providing food and beverages. The evening converges at HDOS where thousands of music lovers and riders gather to enjoy performances by 3 Doors Down and other special guests. Ticket prices increase the day of the event (Nov 4), so be sure to buy your tickets today!
When you “RIDE 4 PCH” you help patients like:
Brendan: At three months old, Brendan was admitted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in full congestive heart failure. He underwent several surgeries and eventually a heart transplant. He faces ongoing treatment and medical challenges but always keeps a positive attitude!
Chance: After years of chronic stomach aches, Chance landed at Phoenix Children’s when he was 5 and finally received a diagnosis. He’s endured many procedures, but focuses on making the Hospital an even better place through the Children’s Advisory Board.
Kaitlynn: When she was 5 years old a muscle disorder started affecting Kaitlynn’s motor skills, eventually leaving her in a wheelchair unable to speak. After brain surgery at Phoenix Children’s, she’s relearning to walk and talk and feels “more human” again.
In the past five years, Bob’s Biker Blast has raised more than $1.7 million for the hospital’s Hope Fund, the most flexible and valuable way donors can support Phoenix Children’s Hospital, allowing us to meet new challenges and take advantage of opportunities as they arise. The Hope Fund helps launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research, provide charitable care, and much more. Ultimately the funds raised demonstrates the incredible generosity of the motorcycle community. Purchase your tickets today!
