Rev your engines and Ride for Phoenix Children’s Hospital on Saturday, April 8. Phoenix Children’s will be the starting point for hundreds of riders who will gather for the 4th Annual Hand in Hand charity ride, which is put together by Arizona Bike Week and Arizona Bike Week Charities Group. The event, sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, will benefit the Hospital’s Hope Fund. The Hope Fund helps launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research, provide charitable care, and much more. Each rider will be assigned a patient to ride for – Hand in Hand – a few patients ambassadors will even be able to join in on the breakfast and the festivities!

Starting at 9 a.m. riders will do a “Rev and Ride” every half an hour with the last rev at 11 a.m. This is truly an experience for riders and patients alike. The kids at the Hospital love hearing those bikes being fired up. The kiddos that are not able to leave their rooms participate from their windows and waive the riders off!

The ride-up registration includes: breakfast burritos, generously donated by Arcadia Tavern; breakfast sandwiches by Sodexho, water and breakfast bars from Wal-Mart, a raffle ticket with a patient’s story, a commemorative gift & ticket admission into Arizona Bike Week, and the Alice Cooper Concert. Guardian bells that read “I Ride 4 PCH” will be on sale. I Ride 4 PCH is a campaign to recognize every day riders from across the Valley who ride to raise funds for the kiddos at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Whether you are on two feet or on two wheels, we hope to see you at this “self-guided” ride! Bikers depart from the Hospital and ride to Arizona Bike Week’s Festivities at WestWorld of Scottsdale. For more information on Arizona’s Bike Week, head to: www.azbikeweek.com.

Thank you to our partners who generously continue to donate their time and services: Arcadia Tavern, Arizona Bike Week Charities, Arizona Bike Week, The Gatekeepers, Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, Magical Marketing, Wal-Mart and U-Haul.
