All of us need and desire to love and to be loved. One of my favorite authors once wrote, “If love is not all, then it is nothing: this principle, and its opposite, collide down all the years of my breathless tale.” Love is genuine, honest, and open, compassionate and kind, passionate and blind, love doesn’t know space or time, “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things”(Corinthians) Because despite all of our differences, love is what we all share.

The Star Within
Stars are important this time of year. We are familiar with the story of the North Star with a bright light that led the Magi to the infant Christ. Event more spectacular is the star Orion which is especially radiant this time of year. It was named for the mythological hunter Orion that was punished with blindness for a horrific act towards beautiful Oenopion. Late, his repented heart brought healing as he fixed his eyes on the eastward Isles of Lemnos and the healing rays of the sun restored his sight. This symbolic legend is germane to the theme of renewal, illumination of inner spirituality, and clarity of focus onto what is important in life. Looking to the rising sun to awaken our souls vision to that which is to dawn from within each of us.

A Midwinter Night’s Dream
Our ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) interior designers under the umbrella of ASID Design for Hire have conceptualized an elegant, stately tree that captivates the imagination. This tree is a Christmas twist on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Integrating the magic of love and the duality between fantasy and reality, which is what Christmas is all about for children and adults. This theme of fantasy and whimsy mixed with a contemporary palette of mixed metal finishes provided a life-size holiday tradition timeless in its execution.

An Ombre Christmas
Arizona has some of the most beautiful sunsets in the country. This year’s tree is inspired by the event changing colors of the sunset. As the sun slowly sets, the sky’s colors fare. An Ombré Christmas is a twist on a classic Christmas tree.
