Telethon Toteboard

The 6th Annual ABC15 Telethon raised a record total $740,585 to benefit the patients and families receiving care at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The superhero-themed event celebrated the strength and courage of Phoenix Children’s patients, and corporate partners and individual donors rallied to save the day during the April 11 event. Every dollar raised has a direct impact on patient care and life-saving and enriching programs.

Throughout the day, ABC15 on-air personalities, including Katie Raml, Kim Tobin, Terri Ouellette and Susan Casper, broadcasted live from the Hospital. Viewers were invited to become Heroes for Hope by making a monthly gift of $20 or more or a one-time gift of $240. Appearances by superheroes – both washing windows outside the hospital and visiting kids in the cafeteria – as well as Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, highlighted the event. Hospital patients and their families were the true heroes of the day, as they bravely shared their inspirational stories of battling life-threatening illnesses and injuries, with treatment and support from their team at Phoenix Children’s.

All donations are directed to the Hospital’s Hope Fund, which finances innovative research, cutting-edge technology, the recruitment of leading physicians, and the child-friendly programs and services that make the hospital environment more comfortable for young patients.
