“Before I went to Camp Rainbow, I was sad all the time. I wasn’t the happy girl I am now because cancer’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to deal with. I think that Camp Rainbow really sparked something in me that made me want to live and be happy.”
–Elizabeth, Camp Rainbow alumna
Elizabeth is one of the thousands of Phoenix Children’s Hospital patients who have discovered the magic of camp at Camp Rainbow, a summer camp exclusively for patients of the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. At Camp Rainbow, kids battling cancer get to escape their diagnoses, forging lifelong friendships as they hike, swim and sing around the campfire.
Give to CAMPaign Rainbow
Camp Rainbow is funded entirely through philanthropy, and Phoenix Children’s relies on generous donors to make sure that kids like Elizabeth can attend camp at no cost to their families. The members of WINGS (When In Need Grandmas Serve), the women’s board of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, have chosen Camp Rainbow as the beneficiary of our annual fundraiser this year.
Patients can benefit from this life-affirming experience. The cost of a week at camp for one camper is $1,000. Please help us reach our goal by giving to CAMPaign Rainbow today. Your gift will allow young cancer warriors to experience the healing power of this special place.
