Weston’s parents were nervous when they found out their son had double inlet left ventricle, a congenital heart defect. “We had so much emotion,” says Weston’s mom. “We didn’t know what we needed because we had no idea what was in store.”   

The staff at Phoenix Children’s supported Weston’s family, giving them the knowledge and confidence to care for his condition. “In time, it got better,” says his mom, “he’s getting stronger and healthier.” His dad adds, “You would never know he’s been through four heart surgeries!”
