Camp Rainbow

Kids dealing with cancer or chronic blood disorders enjoy outdoor fun and adventure under the care of medical staff and volunteers.

Summer camp holds the promise of adventure, freedom and fun. So every year, Phoenix Children’s Camp Rainbow in beautiful Prescott, Arizona hosts children who have, or have had, cancer of a chronic blood disorder. Each year, 120 happy campers enjoy exciting new experiences under the guidance of medical staff and volunteers. Every provision is made so kids’ medical and emotional needs are met while they get the chance to try any activity they choose, safely.

Camp Rainbow includes popular activities many kids love — horseback riding, arts and crafts, canoeing, fishing, archery, rock climbing and much more. Kids also make lifelong friendships with others who’ve gone through the same experiences. Unfortunately, exhausting curative treatments such as chemotherapy mean some patients are too sick to attend camp. So Phoenix Children’s established Rainbow Kids. Patients of all ages and their families are treated to fun activities such as roller skating, indoor rock climbing, outings to the zoo and more, all year long. Your donation to Camp Rainbow helps us continue to bring these healing opportunities to even more happy campers.
