Your Generosity in Action

Here are some of the ways your gift to Phoenix Children's helps Arizona children and families.

Patient & Family Assistance

Donor-funded programs like the Patient and Family Assistance Fund provide emergency relief for families experiencing financial hardship, covering expenses such as food, lodging, transportation, housing and utilities. That means Phoenix Children’s patients receive the care they need with less stress for their families.

Family-Centered Care

Programs like Child Life, Therapeutic Arts and Spiritual Care are essential to helping kids heal, but they’re not covered by insurance. These and many other family-centered programs at Phoenix Children’s are funded partially or entirely by donations.

Research & Innovation

At Phoenix Children’s, philanthropic support fuels breakthroughs that bring new hope to children and families. Innovation Circle, a giving group that funds high-impact projects led by physicians, researchers and clinical leaders, has awarded more than $6 million in grant funding to almost 100 projects.

Recruitment & Retention

Providing world-class pediatric care means bringing world-class physicians, researchers and clinical leaders to Phoenix Children’s. Support from donors helps attract and retain top talent.

Education & Training

Donor support helps Phoenix Children’s prepare the next generation of clinicians and researchers. The philanthropically funded Clinical Nursing Attending Program places seasoned nurse leaders in positions of oversight to support other nurses and physicians, while the Young Investigators Awards help early-career researchers get seed grant funding for their work.

Program Expansion

Philanthropic support allows Phoenix Children’s to translate ideas into action to address pressing needs. For example, support from donors and corporate partners made it possible for Phoenix Children’s to launch an innovative suicide prevention program in response to the mental health crisis among Arizona youth.
