For families facing housing instability, access to health care can be uncertain or out of reach. Phoenix Children’s Homeless Youth Outreach (HYO) program meets that challenge by bringing care directly to where it’s needed most. Using mobile medical units called Crews’n Healthmobiles, HYO delivers medical, behavioral and preventive services across Maricopa County, removing barriers that often keep youth without housing from receiving care. Each visit is grounded in the belief that every child deserves compassionate support—no matter where they call home.

FIRST STEPS
In the triage area, clinicians perform initial assessments to determine the next steps for each child’s care.
A WARM WELCOME
Each visit begins in the intake area, where patients are greeted by the care team in a space designed to feel calm, private and welcoming.
PHARMACY ON BOARD
Each Healthmobile has a small pharmacy so patients can receive medications— eliminating another barrier to getting treatment
RAPID RESULTS HYO
An onboard lab allows clinicians to perform certain tests immediately, while other samples can be collected and sent out for further analysis.
PRIVATE ROOMS
Dedicated exam rooms provide a confidential setting where providers can diagnose illnesses and address ongoing health concerns.

Because of generous people like you, Phoenix Children's Homeless Youth Outreach program can provide comprehensive, compassionate health care to children and young adults experiencing homelessness.
