“I don't have an estate, so I don't need to worry about estate planning.”
It's a common misconception that having an estate implies owning a mansion or having substantial wealth. However, in estate planning, the term “estate” encompasses all your assets, from cash and property to personal belongings—even your pets are included. This means that regardless of the size of your assets, you have an estate. It's essential to have an estate plan in place to ensure that your loved ones and possessions are properly cared for after you're gone.
To prepare for the future, please join us for a free estate planning lunch workshop, provided by the Wills and Trusts Division at Desert Financial Credit Union.
