Score 4 Kids at Phoenix Children's, Support Young Athletes & Win Exclusive Gear

Hi, my name is Asher Nelson. I'm a 13 year old, 8th grader who plays Golf, Football, & Lacrosse (I love to Snowboard too). I've started an on-going fundraiser for Phoenix Children's to use my athletics to help raise money for PCH kids throughout the year.

Why Score 4 Kids at Phoenix Children's?

  • Over 50% of the patient population is un- or under-insured. Phoenix Children's accepts ALL patients seeking care.
  • 170+ programs and services at Phoenix Children's—such as Animal-Assisted Therapy, Child Life, Art Therapy, research and more—rely on donations to continue operating.

The support of our community ensures that all children have access to world-class health care and EVERY dollar counts.

About Me

When I was younger my sister & I got golfers at a local course to donate to PCH –in exchange for free coffee and golf balls we'd collected.  This summer I had the idea to use sports to better fundraise for all the kids at PCH.  The idea is to ask for pledges for every birdie or par I make in competitive golf, touchdown thrown in football, or goal scored in lacrosse.

Never did I think I might actually find myself in PCH! But 2 months ago I was sacked in a football game, my leg was broken and I needed surgery.  While the incredible orthopedics team was there to fix me up, most kids at PCH have much more serious needs and truly depend on PCH's amazing care.  So while I was recovering, the PCH fundraising squad helped me launch this effort and SCORING 4 KIDS was born!

After being in a wheelchair for two weeks and a boot for a month, I'm now getting much stronger and have started walking freely again. I have a few more months of physical therapy ahead but am looking forward to a new 2023 SCORING 4 KIDS on-going campaign starting January.  So, PLEASE make a pledge below to join me as I compete in 2023!

Tax Deduction & Credit Information

I’m told to mention that your donations may tax deductible, but that I’m obviously not a tax advisor and don’t know about all that, so you should consult with one if that’s important to you. But if you are an Arizona resident, your contribution may qualify for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit too! For more information, visit the Definitive Guide for the Arizona Tax Credit HERE.

Thank you as TOGETHER we SCORE 4 KIDS at PCH!
