Facebook donation fundraisers are a great way to honor a loved one, celebrate a birthday or milestone or integrate into an event or competition, all benefiting a worthy cause. Facebook charity donations are a quick and easy way to bring hope, healing and healthcare innovation to providers, patients and families at Phoenix Children’s.
One popular option is to create a Facebook birthday fundraiser to encourage your friends and family to donate to a cause you’re passionate about in honor of your special day.
How do I create a birthday fundraiser on Facebook?
Log into your Facebook account. If you have more than one account, be sure to log into the one you want to host the fundraiser.
Visit the Friends of PCH Facebook page.
Click the “Raise Money” button underneath “Create a Fundraiser” on the right side of the page.
A new page will open showing what your fundraising page will look like. You can edit the options on the left to adjust:
• The goal amount you’d like to raise
• The currency you’d like donations to be made in
• The date your fundraiser should end
• The title of your fundraiser
• The reason you want to raise money for Phoenix Children’s
• The cover photo for your fundraising page
When everything looks good to you, click the “Create” button at the bottom left. You’ll see a screen pop up where you can:
• Invite your friends to donate
• Share your fundraiser in your news feed
• Donate to the fundraiser yourself
That’s all there is to it! In just a few moments, you’ve created an opportunity for your loved ones to support a cause you believe in.
How do Facebook fundraisers work?
Fundraising and donations on Facebook are straightforward. When your friends and family donate to your fundraiser on Facebook, they’ll receive an email confirmation that serves as their Facebook donation receipt, showing that they’ve made a charitable contribution. Facebook covers all fees for Facebook nonprofit donations so that 100% of donations are paid directly to Phoenix Children’s in support of our Hope Fund. Additionally, Facebook fundraiser donations may be tax deductible—tell your friends and family to check with a local tax professional to find out.
How can someone without a Facebook account donate to my Facebook fundraiser?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to make a Facebook donation without logging into a Facebook account. Please encourage your loved ones without Facebook to donate to Phoenix Children’s directly at phoenixchildrensfoundation.org.
