Make Twice the Difference in September

Every 34 minutes, a child in the U.S. is diagnosed with cancer. At Phoenix Children’s, this is what keeps us up at night—and we won’t slow down until the day when no family ever loses a child to cancer.

Your support is essential in this fight. And during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, your impact will be doubled thanks to our generous friends at Layton Construction and 5 for the Fight, who will match your gift, up to $100,000. That means your gift will go twice as far children like Isabella and their families as they endure the toughest times of their lives.

A member of Isabella's care team listens to her heart.

Setting the Pace

Thanks to major treatment advances, the five-year survival rate for childhood cancer has risen from about 58% in the mid-1970s to about 85% today.

But that’s not good enough. Every child deserves a healthy future, and at Phoenix Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD), we are committed to ending childhood cancer once and for all

That's an ambitious goal, but we believe it's possible. Every day, we're pushing the boundaries of pediatric oncology as we expand our treatment options and develop our bench-to-bedside research efforts.

🎗 Phoenix Children’s was one of the first pediatric cancer programs in the nation to begin offering CAR-T cell therapy to children, and we continue to invest in this and other promising cell therapies.

🎗 We're investigating several new antibodies for pediatric cancers, particularly in neuroblastoma and sarcomas.

🎗 We’re also exploring new ways to increase the number of activated immune cells in the body available to fight cancer.

The exciting work happening at CCBD has the potential to transform the treatment of pediatric cancer and save more children’s lives. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue the fight.
